Poetry: Reading, Not For Me

As always, this is me blurting words out onto a “page” as opposed to anything all that great.

“Reading, not for me.”

I stare
Because, “What?”

“Just not.”
I hear, that’s it.

It’s done now,
No going back.

Past me would argue,
Tell them they’re wrong.

Current me stands up,
Shows them they’re wrong.
